Completely Covetable: Fall 2016 RTW

Hellooooo out there. It's been a while since I've been on here, but, alas, New York Fashion Week came calling. While NYFW is not totally over yet, I figured I'd share some of my favorite looks so far. Ready to wear shows are my favorite: its wearable fashion. Yes, you'll get some off the wall looks, but for the most part, what's on the runway is something that you could wear as is. The shows are primed for inspiring everyday women like myself in our daily clothing choices.

First thing: runways and presentations are looking more diverse than ever. Zac Posen's had so many models of color -- truly a beautiful sight.

Now, on to the looks.

3.1 Phillip Lim. There is nothing necessarily remarkable about this look, but its simplicity is what drew me in. The silhouette and details on the coat are killer.

Prabal Gurung.  All in for this coat.

Yeezy Season Three. Not sure what makes Season Three distinctly different from Season Two or Season One, but, then again, I wonder who Kanye even is anymore. I like the idea of this look -- the monochrome, the oversized sweater with fitted skirt and thigh highs -- more than the actual look. It would be so easy to recreate a similar fit, minus the tit peeking through the sweater. But, some people are into that, so maybe with the tit peeking through.

Altuzarra.  This scarf. This bib. This skirt. Here for it.

Maiyet. This is the dress for all the she-devils out there who are secret romantics. So, I obviously need this dress.

Banana Republic. RT if you went to my high school.

Christian Siriano. Always a fan of the suit with a bare chest. This has an incredibly feminine shape to it, but coupled with a scowl, I'm sure you could scare a couple men into line.

Christian Siriano. Another joint from Siriano. This a heavy, but also kind of light look; a chunky knit scarf top paired with wide leg pants and sunglasses. Makes you wonder what season it actually is. It's an intimate look with a bit of stomach showing, but the heaviness of the top keeps the sexiness subdued.  I've been thinking about scarves, and scarf like items, as shirts for a minute. One of my favorite bloggers, Karla Deras, often pulls off looks like this with much ease.
