Dress Code 2012

Okay, so, I'm really excited about this post. I've literally been waiting to put it up. (I was working with another blog, so I needed to make sure it broke there first.) Check out the full post here over on Style Bias.

About two weeks ago, I went to the annual Dress Code fashion show that features designs from students of the The Illinois Insititute of Art-Chicago, Columbia College Chicago, International Academy of Design and Technology- Chicago and the The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I had never been to a fashion show before so this was a fun intro. I got a ticket to the sold out show thanks to the Hive Fashion Network (thanks!). Also, thanks to HFN, I have some super crazy, cool collabs coming up. I'm. Too. Excited. So, I'll keep the blog updated as everything happens.

I took some of the best photos I've ever taken at Dress Code. I love these photos. If you hate them, then, uh, I don't know what to tell you. Check 'em, yo.

Homecoming: Part 2

 ¡Mas fotos!

The girl in the silver dress aka Roce with the girl in the blue dress aka Annie turning up da heat. Hot mamas. And we have Kristen, and Pateese (Beyonce...) showing off some trends this season: lace and peplums. On point.

I had to put this photo up. I can't even describe how good they look in this picture -- they all just go together. These ladies are Shanell, Destiny, and Micha.

And the lovely two behind this blog: Stephanie and Ashton.

Homecoming 2012: Part 1

One-three! One-three! One-three!

The closing chants of homecoming loudly reminding me that I can now say that I'm a senior. Crazy. Time flies. This was my last high school homecoming. The last time I will wear orange and blue under the Friday night lights of a winning football game. The last time I will scream-sing with my best friends to awful One Direction songs on my school's makeshift dance floor. Oh, and let's not forget the fashion. Of course, there were some hits and some misses. Thankfully, more hits than misses. My friends do werk.

Dominique! Check the make-up, hair, shoes, and fit of the dress. Amazing choices. And she's an amazing poet. She'll be performing alongside Yo-Yo Ma at the Chicago Humanities Fest this coming Sunday. Get yo tickets here.

Eleanor, Dominique and Dani.
Eleanor and Dani are working the shorts. I'm not even gonna front, I'm usually not a fan of the shorts and tights combo, but these two made me a believer.

Gasca, BNew, MK, Kray, and Adrian!
All of my favorite guys looking quite dapper. Take notice...they're all wearing ties, their clothes fit, and they're not afraid of playing around with color. Well done, gentlemen.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand all worn out is back.
